Why does the Vitamin D3 spray only have 400 IU?
In Germany, the recommended daily intake of vitamin D is given by the German Nutrition Society (DGE) as follows:
- Infants up to one year: 400-1000 International Units (IU) per day
- Children aged 1-4 years: 400 IU per day
- Children aged 4-7 years: 400-800 IU per day
- Children from 7 years, adolescents and adults: 800 IU per day
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women: 800-1000 IU per day
However, it is important to note that individual needs may vary depending on age, gender, health status and sun exposure. A doctor or nutritionist can provide an accurate recommendation based on your individual needs.
